A self-proclaimed fashion junkie, Erica Johnston looks to re-create the beauty of a couture garment across all of her interiors. She pays attention to every detail, fixture, and finish – and mixes them effortlessly. Erica's philosophy is to create a deep understanding of how her client's live (or work!) to ensure that their final design is not only beautiful (oohs and aahs guaranteed!), but is also functional.
While Erica didn’t start out as a designer (she’s a Princeton grad that spent the last ten years of her career at companies such as Frog Design and One Kings Lane), she has proved her mettle and has been featured in The San Francisco Chronicle, TRADhome, ArchitecturalDigest.com and curated a collection on Chairish. She also recently launched Pemberley Rose, a baby & kids bedding and décor collection that has been featured in Architectural Digest, Vanity Fair, Vogue, C Home, The Bump, DuJour, and Lonny.
While this may all seem a bit highbrow, her favorite and most fulfilling pastime, when it comes to design, is mixing high and low pieces to create a blow-your-socks-off space that you can afford. She’s down to earth and loves working in her pajamas. Phew!
